The Little Free Library is a community free book exchange. Located at TKS Chipstand, Rutherglen, Ontario. The project is in collaboration between the Bonfield Public Library Board, the Friends of the Bonfield Public Library and the Bonfield & District Lions Club. The Little Free Library aims to promote literacy and the love of reading in our community where people can share their favourite books.

Recognition

We wish to thank Perron’s Timber Mart, Harold & Tamela Price-Fry for their contribution, TKS Chipstand for hosting the project and Deborah & rob Hillier for the design and construction of the Little Free Library.

History of Little Free Libraries

Little Free Libraries began in 2009 when Todd Bol of Wisconsin built a tiny model of a one room school house to fill with books in tribute to his mother. Since then, they have been popping up all over the world. For more information visit the Little Free Libraries website.
